Now here is some advice for eating out I can embrace...look at the dessert menu first!
Registered Dietitian Carolyn O'Neil suggests planning your meal around what you want to have for dessert.
"Planning is the most important part of eating healthy, and if you like dessert, don't deny yourself that," O'Neil says. "But let's be sensible." If you want to finish your meal with a 1,000-calorie slice of chocolate cake, don't start with the fried calamari or a creamy lobster bisque.
I love it! Dinner out, for me, isn't complete unless I have something chocolate. Planning for that indulgence helps me make better choices for the other parts of my meal.
