I'm not sure there is anything more joyful than 160 first and second graders frolicking in
a field of freshly fallen snow. I was "lunch mom" yesterday and had a wonderful time watching the kids make snow angels, roll in the snow and basically just bask in the wonder of Winter.
I could help think about how many of us grown up got up and grumbled about five inches of snow: the roads...the shoveling...the mess. What a missed opportunity!
When was the last time you laid on your back in the snow and listened to the shhhh sound as you moved your arms and legs?
How long has it been since you caught a snowflake on your tongue?
Snow balls, icicles and the way falling snow sparkles in the moonlight offer a moment to stop and enjoy the beauty and fun of nature -- and take a step back from the hustle and bustle of busy life.
Rather than grumbling about the snow in the driveway, celebrate the beauty, the uninterupted time to think and the fact you won't have to worry about fitting your workout in today!
Take a moment to smell the snow fall!
